God's Promises Shall Stand
There failed not aught of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel.
...and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof.
For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: ...yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.
Nevertheless my loving-kindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail. My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
...for I have pronounced the word, saith the LORD.
And this shall be a sign unto thee from the LORD, that the LORD will do this thing that he hath spoken.
For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast. The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect. The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.
And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.
...for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of my mouth, and I showed them; I did them suddenly, and they came to pass.
The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand.
For I am the LORD: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass....
He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word he commanded to a thousand generations.
Who hast kept with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him: thou spakest also with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as it is this day.
That confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers....
He [Abraham] staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; and being fully persuaded, that what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
