God Will Not Let Us Be Ashamed When We have Hoped in Him
O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me. Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.
...Behold, I lay in Zion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
All of Psalm 31, but particularly:
The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.
In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.
Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live: and let me not be ashamed of my hope.
Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them. They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.
They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.
For the Scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
...And thou shalt know that I am the LORD: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.
For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.
...We glory in tribulations also; knowing that tribulations worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope: and hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.
Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.
...I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide.
Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.
Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name. Let thy mercy, O LORD be upon us, according as we hope in thee.
Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed. And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.
I have stuck unto thy testimonies: O LORD, put me not to shame.
